Hello MBCA Channel Islands Members:

Peter and I hope that this e-mail finds you healthy and happy. It has truly been a life-altering long haul due to the COVID-19 virus but Ventura County is now at the orange tier and opportunities to meet, socialize and have fun have finally opened up and many people have chosen to get vaccinated.

This Second Quarter 2021 newsletter is a bit later than normal (we apologize for that) but Peter and I have been quickly working, behind the scenes, to arrange our first 2021 club in-person event for Sunday, June 13th at the California Oil Museum in Santa Paula. We have exclusive use of the courtyard for socializing, beverages and snacks, touring the museum (including areas that are only available to clubs), and each of us can order lunch (self-pay) from a highly recommended local restaurant (Chef David’s Kitchen) for collective delivery to the museum. The club will provide non-alcoholic beverages and lite snacks, however, you are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine, glasses or preferred snacks if you wish. So bring your family or friends, your favorite car (likely a Benz), and come out for some sun, fun and get to know each other better. We have many new members and we are eager to welcome them to the club. Time is short before the event, so please see the newsletter for instructions to notify Peter and me, right away, and register and pay a modest per person fee for the event. There is a registration clip-out form in the newsletter to mail with your check, made out to MBCACI. Orange tier COVID safety restrictions limit attendance at this event to 38 people (50% capacity).

We’ve listed several other club activities that we are planning for the remainder of 2021. Let’s make up for time lost. Come join us and be active in your Channel Islands Mercedes Benz club.
Hope to see you June 13th.
